the most awesome bags ever

So, I'm in New York for the Weekend, staying in Queens with friends to attend an art opening. We arrived today. One of the highlights of the evening was sharing an amazing dinner with some friends of friends of friends and miscellaneous room-mates and guests in a 12 person-shared appartment. Among those I met, I made the acquaintance of a gentleman who helped to create bamboo bikes (using bamboo as an alternative to the steel frame) and a Chilean Bike Messenger (Frankie N.) who makes his own Messenger Bags, called El Divino Bags. These bags are the craziest, most well crafted carrying apparatuses I've ever seen. I thought it only appropriate to post photos of his work. His flikr site does the ones I saw in person no justice. People need to see the quality of the stitching and the well-planned designs of his bags. These internet photos are sweet, but the two I held were so insane, they defied and re-defined the conventional conception of "cool."
